For the SAG Awards, makeup artist Melanie Inglessis created the most dreamy look, and here’s how you can recreate it:

“January’s Schiaparelli gown is so beautiful and feminine and the sea foam color is so complimenting to her skin, so we wanted to complement the look with a soft blue/grey smokey eye.” -Melanie

PREP:

To prep January’s skin, first Melanie cleansed and applied Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask and left it on for 15 minutes to energize and brighten the skin. Then she removed it with a cotton pad and Burt’s Bees Rosewater Toner.

Then she massaged Sisley Paris Black Rose Precious Face Oil onto the skin for hydration, and took off any excess that didn’t absorb into the skin with a tissue sprayed with the Burt’s Bees Toner.

To prep her lips, she applied a generous layer of Burt’s Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm with Kokum Butter and left it on until she was ready to apply the lipstick.

SKIN:

Next she applied Sisley Paris Phyto Teint Expert Fluid Foundation with a wet Beautyblender.

Under the eyes, she applied Benefit Ooh La Lift mixed with Cle De Peau Concealer in Ivory to brighten up the under eye area.

Melanie wanted a natural look to the skin, but used Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder to the T-Zone to keep down unwanted shine later in the day.

She added Sisley Paris L’Orchidée Rose blush to just the apple of the cheeks.

EYES:

For the eyes, Melanie started with Fiona Stiles Beauty Radiant Aqua Eye Veil in Galaxy Way as a base, and applied it all over the eyelid and barely into the crease, as well as at the lower lash line.

Next she took Sisley Paris Phyto 4 Ombres in Mystery, and used the light grey as a base over the cream, the dark grey on the crease to create dimension, the beige shade on the brow bone and in the inner corner of the eyes, and the dark blue at the outer corners. Then she blended them all thoroughly.

Then she took Sisley Paris Phyto Kohl Perfect Eye Pencil in Black and tightlined all around the eyes and smudged it, for a soft smokiness.

Finally, she curled the lashes with the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler and used two coats of Sisley Paris So Intense Mascara in Deep Black.

LIPS:

The last step was coating the lips with Burt’s Bees Lipstick in Nile Nude.
