Get the Look: Jessica Biel’s Barely There Red Carpet Makeup

Jessica Biel Makeup How-To

There’s something about the no makeup makeup look that is just so appealing. Having perfect skin is, of course, every woman’s dream (Right?), so to have the look of perfect skin without noticeable makeup is like a taste of what that reality would be like.

But, you don’t often see the barely there look on the red carpet, which is why I’m absolutely swooning over this stunning makeup MUA Beau Nelson created for Jessica Biel over the weekend. Nelson shares, “I just think Jessica is so naturally beautiful that I wanted to enhance what was already there. Her soft pink gown was the starting point for us to create a monochromatic, creamy-looking, romantic makeup.”

Here’s how he created the look:

First, he perfected her skin with Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, High Precision Retouch and Cinema Secrets Ultimate Corrector 5-in-1 Pro Palette. Then, he created a soft matte effect by setting everything with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder.

Then he lightly dusted NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna on the apples of her cheeks, followed by NARS Blush in Gaiety on top of that.

He kept the eyes simple, using shades of taupe from the Dior Nudes Palette and only one coat of L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black.

Finally, on Jessica’s lips, Beau used Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Re-Size & Re-Shape Lip Pencil in Pillowtalk to both line and fill in the lips, and then he used his finger to diffuse. Then, he used his finger to apply Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick in Bitch Perfect on top of that.

And there you have it. The most simply gorgeous red carpet makeup look I’ve seen in a long time.

So tell me: What holiday event do you think would be the perfect place to rock this look?

Peace, Love and Barely There Makeup,
